Dear Susie,
I heard what happened to your new toy, and I'm so sorry that it's broken! I hope you weren't too disappointed. I know you've wanted it for a long time, and you were a very good kid this year.
I don't usually go out on my sleigh after Christmas Eve, but I made an exception for a special case like this. I picked up the broken toy last night, and I've taken it back to my workshop at the North Pole. My elves are hard at work right now making sure that it's repaired. If I can't fix it, I'll have them make you a new one!
Thank you for being such a patient kid. I know you're excited to play with your new toys, and I hope that you can have fun with the rest of your presents until I get back.
You did a great job this year, and I can't wait to see you again next year. I'll have your toy back to you in a jiffy, so make sure you go to bed on time every night so I can bring it back.
