Dear Susie,
It's me, your old friend the Magic Elf. You may remember me from such antics as: Hanging from the Chandelier and Tracking Flour All Over the Countertop.
You and I have had some good times over the years. I loved sneaking around in the night, knowing how surprised you would be to find that I'd mixed up your socks or replaced Oreo cream with toothpaste. (That was one of my masterpieces!)
I'm writing to tell you that I won't be moving through your house this year to make my mischief. I've retired as your elf.
This doesn't mean that I don't love you. And of course, I will still be in your house. I hope you'll set me on your shelf so I can enjoy the holiday festivities. I just won't be up to my usual tricks at Christmastime.
