Text of the letter:
Dear _______________,
Ho, ho, ho! I got your letter. Thank you for sending me your wish list! I have passed it along to the elves who are busy in the workshop getting ready for the big day. My reindeer are excited to fly all over the world and, of course, to stop at your house on Christmas night.
I am flattered that you want to call or text me! Unfortunately, I have to stick to mailed letters. Because I am so busy, I don’t have time to chat with every little boy and girl, even though I would enjoy that. But I need to be fair.
Also, I want to tell you a secret. I don’t have a cell phone! I have a special manager elf who handles my appointments and other communication for me, so I can focus on getting ready for Christmas.
I’m sorry we can’t talk or text. But please feel free to write to me again here at the North Pole. I love letters!
Love,
Santa
