Text of the letter:
Dear _______________,
Ho, ho, ho! Thank you so much for your nice long letter with questions about my reindeer. I have a moment to rest now in between feeding them their corn and gumdrops and checking on the elves.
So, you want to know more about the reindeer? Well, first off, they are not my employees. Rather, we are all part of the same team. Here at the North Pole, everyone has a job. The elves make toys in the workshop, I handle delivery, and Mrs. Claus keeps things running behind the scenes. As for the reindeer, their main job is to pull my sleigh on Christmas night.
Rudolph of course leads the way with his shiny red nose. The other reindeer are named: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. Each of the nine have their own personalities and quirks, of course. I do not have a favorite. I love all my reindeer friends equally.
When you wake up on Christmas morning, be sure to check for hoofprints on your lawn!
Love,
Santa
